POSITION PROFILE.

Current Global is seeking an Account Director to join our Integrated Media community with expertise in earned media relations for consumer health and wellness brands. The Account Director will work across clients to support brand marketing campaigns with integrated media strategies designed to drive awareness, engagement, and connection with target audiences. The ideal candidate is an experienced earned media strategist with deep media relationships who is constantly curious about what comes next in business, culture, and media. They must be passionate about storytelling, building innovative earned media strategies, pitching media, and leveraging the intersection of earned, owned, and paid in campaign orchestration.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES. 

• Serve as trusted advisor and business partner to key client contacts, providing proactive and reactive strategic media counsel.
• Lead the development and execution of earned and integrated media strategies.
• Craft compelling stories and media materials designed to earn positive client headlines and coverage.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with key media contacts.
• Actively monitor for media trends that could serve clients across our portfolio.
• Understand media and industry landscapes that may directly and indirectly impact a client.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Client Experience, Insights, Content, and Integrated Media communities to deliver impactful and award-worthy work.
• Manage, mentor, and coach direct reports and junior team members on earned media best practices.
• Contribute to new business opportunities and pitches with creative media ideas.

QUALIFICATIONS. 

• 8+ years of experience in PR and earned media; agency experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; verbal and written.
• Strong decision-making and project management skills; deadline and detail oriented.
• In depth knowledge of the evolving media landscape.
• Social media and influencer marketing literacy.
• Team management; people development.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and endlessly curious.

NYC Salary Range: $115,000-$135,000.
